Jr. Johnny's custom made harp amps and microphones.

This unique amp has a truly different sound and character from the 4-10 bassmans and other guitar amps. It is user friendly for harp! Whether a novice, or a longtime pro, this amp will delight every blues harp player!

From a large collection of old tube amps and speakers, Johnny chose the amp and speakers from a vintage Hammond M-111 Organ. Jr. Johnny has built several fine harp amps before, using organ amps for power. It was Johnny's first guess that the deep, fat tone of these old organ amps would jive well with the tinny hand held biscuit mics favored by blues harp players. That guess has proven to be absolutely correct, and this is the best sounding one yet!

Here is a custom built blues harmonica amp. It contains only genuine vintage, late 50's, components.

• The components were carefully selected and SOUND tested by ear for maximum harmonica tone.
• This amp is VERY loud and tonally voiced perfectly for harp.
• The 30 watt all tube Hammond amp uses a 5Y3 rectifier, 2 12AX7's, and 2 6BQ5's for output. Every tube is the original Hammond part. The simple front panel has 1/4" input jack, on switch/volume control, tone control, and vintage blue pilot light jewel.
• It has 2 speakers, a 12" and an 8", both super clean original alnicos from the Hammond organ. This speaker combination was inspired by a vintage Gibson amp that has been a favorite of harp players in a NY recording studio for many years. Their combined sound is simply perfect!
• There is no shrillness, and no problem with audio feedback from your hand held mic! Just gobs of rich creamy tone! Very distinct clarity and seperation, and superb drive on your high notes as well as the lower range of your harp! The single tone control is subtle, designed to be effective in the range of your harmonica, unlike any other amp!
• Dimensions are: 26" tall X 22" wide X 9-1/4" deep. It weighs 40 lbs. Figure 45-50 lbs for shipping.
